Why Collins Counseling
Our Services
Therapy can be a short-term or a long-term process. It’s often best to start with weekly appointments and work towards bi-weekly. During the first session, Alena will review the paperwork you filled out, go over confidentiality, informed consent, allow you a chance to share a little bit of your story, and start to build potential goals that will provide direction in the time you have together.
Individual Therapy
Alena is a trained mental health clinician, who’s goal is to walk alongside clients as they work one-on-one through anxiety, depression, grief, etc. She provides a safe, caring, and confidential environment where individuals can explore their experiences and process their beliefs.
Children & Adolescents
Just like with adults Alena’s job is to offer a safe environment and an empathetic ear while providing tools to bring about change in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Children and adolescent clients also receive emotional and goal support in their sessions.
Telehealth Counseling
Telehealth is the use of telecommunications or videoconferencing technology to provide mental health services to you in the privacy of your own home. Since the pandemic hit several years ago Alena has been finding success with clients virtually. There are many benefits to doing sessions online. It’s often very comfortable and convenient to log on from the privacy of your own home. She offers both telehealth and in person counseling!
